Come and See – Phase Two
The “Come and See” program has been meeting weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:15 p.m. in the St. Clement Room.
Attendance has been between 20-30 people weekly. We pray together, study and discuss the upcoming Sunday readings, and have a presentation each week on different aspects of Catholicism.
Phase Two of “Come and See” starts Tuesday, September 24th and covers the Sacrament of the Catholic Church, notably, Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation/Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, Matrimony and Funeral Rites. Other topics covered are History of the Catholic Church and the Church’s Moral Teachings, such as the Dignity of Human Life and Justice.
You do not need to have participated in the First Phase of “Come and See” to benefit from participating in this phase. Every parishioner and any others are invited to participate in “Come and See.” Even if you are not able to come every Tuesday, what you gain will be well worth your time and effort.
Costs of materials for “Come and See” are $20.00. For this fee you receive a packet of 100 brief articles “Catholic Updates,” published by Ligouri Publications. Each article is four pages long and very readable.
You do NOT to register in advance. Come any Tuesday to the St. Clement Room, in the basement of the Parish Center. “Come and See” is open to all adults, young and old. All will be enriched and learn much as you participate. Presentations begin at 7:00 p.m. and conclude by 8:15 p.m.
