St. Clement of Rome School Aftercare Program
The St. Clement aftercare program is a school-based program coordinated by Janet Bennett. Our aftercare program runs every full school day, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, from August through May. Aftercare is open to every student. Children in the aftercare program will be given the opportunity to eat snacks, do homework, and participate in the daily activities chosen by the aftercare supervisors.

Camps and Special Programs
New for 2024-25, St. Clement of Rome school is offering a variety of afterschool programs for our students. Details for each program are shown in the paragraphs below. If you have questions, please email the teacher listed for each program for more information.
STEM Robotics
Grades 4-8
Mondays
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
September 16, 2024 to April 28, 2025 (Note new start date)

Mrs. Robinson will teach students how to program using SPIKE PRIME LEGO Robotics. Students will program their robot to complete 11 challenges so that they are prepared for the main CLAVIUS JAMBOREE Robotics event held in April at St Louis University High School. Students will also participate in a school mini-Jamboree competition. 8th Graders participating in the program will have the opportunity to prepare for an event at CBC on Saturday, November 16th. Great prizes are being offered to winners of the competition. More information about the CBC competition will be available at a later date. Cooking Classes For Kids
Grades K-3
Thursdays

Cost: $40 (includes supplies)
Location: Cafeteria

Join Ms. Caouette as teaches children the art of cooking, hospitality and etiquette. Children will develop a relationship with food by developing their intelligence of taste, smell, sound, sight and touch. This interactive class ends with everyone indulging!
For these the final class of the year, student will be making mac and cheese.

Out of the Box Design Camp
Calling all mini artists, creators, makers, designers and “boxitects”! Come spend April 14, 15, 28 and 29 designing and decorating!…a dollhouse? A fire station? A haunted house? A school?...the options are endless! At the end of the camp each child will bring home their creation.
Cost: $230 for a "new" house or $185 for a "recycled" house from past camps
All camp dates run from 3:00-4:30 in Mrs. Genovese's room

Sea Turtle Exploration
Grades K-5

Our program gives students a hands-on, dynamic introduction to sea turtles. Each participant will become the caretaker of a plush sea turtle, conduct health checks, explore the diversity of sea turtle species, and join a team effort to role play a rescue and release a Leatherback sea turtle back into the wild.

From sea creatures of the deep to phoenixes in the sky, every society has its legends and lore. We’ll tell their stories through paintings, sculptures and other works of art. These legends may inspire awe, curiosity or surprise, but they all inspire our imaginations!
