Playground Update

Thank you to everyone who has organized, attended and donated to past Galas and this year's Casino Night. The funds raised during these events are allowing the school to get all-new age-appropriate equipment, some new fencing, benches, picnic tables and to replace the black mulch.

 

The playground committee looked into many different surfaces including poured-in-place rubber, turf and various natural surfaces. The new surface will be an engineered wood fiber that is an all-natural wood product and not chemically treated in any way.  The engineered wood fiber surface fit within the budget and provides the school with flexibility in the future.

 

Demolition of the playground is scheduled to start shortly after the carnival.  During construction, there may be times when the road around the playground is blocked. Subject to weather delays, the work is currently scheduled to be completed by 4th of July.
