About Catholic Schools Week

National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Catholic Schools Week is January 26 to February 1. This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.

Our Service Organizations

Helping those Near and Far

This year we are excited to raise money for two very deserving organizations. Please help us serve those Near and Far: St. Louis Catholic Academy in North St. Louis and The Amigos Academy in La Chuscada, Nicaragua.

Please read more below about these organizations:
St. Louis Catholic Academy Logo

St. Louis Catholic Academy is excited to witness the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ educational mission come to life. Their goal is to grow successful children through a quality, Catholic education. They have a dedicated faculty that is focused on meeting each child where he or she is and working together to move them forward.
The mission of St. Louis Catholic Academy is to provide a culture of excellence for our students and their families so that each member of our community might grow in learning, by faith and with character.

The Amigos Academy logo

The Amigos Academy in the rural community of La Chuscada provides quality education that focuses on excellence, innovation, and being a model for other schools. Equipped with the best teachers, curriculum, and technology, their students are receiving one-of-a-kind opportunities to develop and thrive academically. They are committed to investing in the futures of their students and developing the next generation of leaders and visionaries in Nicaragua. St. Clement alumnus, Nic Herrmann, is the Education Director of The Amigos Academy. St. Clement is proud of the work that Nic is doing.

Why is the Amigos Academy important?
In Nicaragua, only 55% of students graduate from the 6th grade. That’s nearly half a country left behind. They are changing that.

Please watch the following video we received from Danny Dugan at The Amigos Academy thanking us for our support this week:

Donations

We will gladly accept cash donations your family would like to make. Checks should be made payable to St. Clement of Rome with CSW Fundraiser in the memo line. Please send your donations to school marked CSW Donation. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and your cancelled check will serve as your receipt.

Raffle Baskets

The faculty and staff have generously provided items for our raffle baskets. Students can purchase raffle tickets each morning during homeroom throughout Catholic Schools Week. Raffle tickets are $1.00, and the drawings will be held on Friday afternoon after the 8th Grade vs. Teachers volleyball game. All donations from the raffle baskets will go to support our service organizations.
